CHILDREN & PETS

We are unable to accommodate children or pets. The Inn at Bowman's Hill is not a suitable environment for young people under 16. Should your pet absolutely insist on traveling with you, they will be obliged to seek accommodation at a nearby kennel !

Local fire regulations prohibit smoking in all our buildings. Considerate smoking only in designated outside areas!

ALLERGIES

Your comfort and safety is important. Please alert us at the time of booking if you have specific dietary needs, allergies to particular foodstuffs or to feather beds. We provide hypo-allergenic bedding upon request and we will try to accommodate special dietary or other needs. Should we feel unable to safely meet your requirements we may suggest an alternative place to stay.

Cats and parrots share your hosts' family quarters but do not have access to the guest areas. On the grounds we have free range chickens, ducks and guinea fowl. If you are concerned about a possible allergic reaction, then it is probably advisable to choose another place stay.

PAYMENT & DEPOSIT POLICIES FOR INDIVIDUAL BOOKINGS

(Please note that specific payment and deposit policies apply to block reservations, meetings and 3rd party outside contract services. See below. )

We charge a $100 advance deposit for each night booked at the time of booking. The balance is charged upon departure. For bookings made within 7 days of the intended stay we reserve the right to charge the first nights lodging plus tax plus the $100 deposit for each additional night.

PAYMENT & DEPOSIT POLICIES FOR BLOCK BOOKINGS OF 3 ROOMS OR MORE

Up to 14 days prior to the date of the reservation the standard (individual) deposit policy of $100 per night applies. 14 days or less in advance we require payment of the full balance for lodging costs and taxes.

Absent other payment arrangements, the above charges will be applied to the credit card on file without additional notification.

PAYMENT & DEPOSIT POLICIES FOR NON-ROOM CHARGES (BLOCK BOOKINGS, MEETINGS AND WEDDINGS)

We charge a 50% deposit for all non-room charges. We reserve the right to cancel the arrangements in the event of non-payment.

21 days in advance of the function date we require full payment of outside services including, but not limited to, musicians, 3rd party equipment rentals or costs for food and beverage.

CANCELLATION POLICIES FOR INDIVIDUAL ROOM RESERVATIONS

(Please note that specific cancellation policies apply to block reservations, meetings and personal services such as massage or other 3rd party outside contract services. See below. )

Deposits will be refunded for cancellations received not less than 10 days prior to the date of arrival minus a $25 administrative charge.

Cancellations received between 10 days and 3 full days prior to the date of your arrival will result in forfeiture of the deposit. We reserve the right to charge the full amount of the original booking including all taxes for cancellations received within 3 full days of the anticipated date of arrival.

We will, however, make every effort to re-book the room for the period in question and, if successful, we will return the room charges (incl. taxes) for the nights that were booked minus the deposit, and any additional costs incurred for special purchases, incremental administrative charges or commitments to 3rd parties.

The above policies also apply in principle to reservations made using any Gift Certificate. Unused Gift Certificates for reservations cancelled within 10 days of the anticipated arrival date may be voided.

CANCELLATION POLICIES FOR MASSAGE & PERSONAL SERVICES

There is no charge for cancellations received up to 48 hours prior. Cancellations within 48 hours will be billed at the full charge.

CANCELLATION POLICIES FOR BLOCK BOOKINGS OF 3 ROOMS OR MORE

To protect the integrity of our small business, we apply a more stringent cancellation policy for bookings of multiple rooms.

Cancellations received less than 21 days prior to the date of your arrival will result in the forfeiture of all deposits and all non-room payments. Cancellations received within 14 full days of the anticipated date of arrival will result in forfeiture of all payments.

We will, however, make every effort to re-book the rooms for the period in question and, if successful, we will refund 80% of the monies received for each room booked. Advance payments for other (non-room) services as contracted with outside vendors become non-refundable 21 days prior to the date of your arrival.

CANCELLATION POLICIES FOR MEETINGS (NON-ROOM CHARGES)

We reserve the right at our discretion to retain all pre-paid deposit monies in the event of any cancellation received within 21 days of the anticipated meeting / event date. For cancellations received within 14 days we reserve the right to seek reimbursement for out-of-pocket 3rd party charges.

NO SHOW POLICY

If you have not contacted us and fail to check-in by 9pm on the day of your reservation the booking will be deemed a no-show. The room will be offered for immediate re-booking at that time. In the event of a no-show, the outstanding balance (incl. all taxes) for the whole length of stay as booked will be charged in full to the credit card on file. We will then seek to re-book the room for any additional nights of the original reservation. If successful, the pro-rated balance minus the original deposits and a $100 administrative charge will be credited back to the card.

CHECK-OUT

Check-out is 11am. Late check-out requests can rarely be accommodated as we need ample time to prepare our suites for arriving guests. We reserve the right to assess a charge for any late check-out not agreed in advance.

LATE CHECK-IN

Our regular check-in times are between 3pm and 6pm. Should you be delayed or plan on arriving outside of these hours please call us to make arrangements for a late check-in.
