Explore the Bucks County Wine + Art Trail
Nestled in the idyllic countryside of the Delaware Valley, Bucks County wineries are already gorgeous on their own, but they're even more special when paired with stunning creations from local artists. It all comes together for the Bucks County Wine + Art Trail. In partnership with the Arts and Cultural Council of Bucks County, local artists will paint or draw scenes at seven participating wineries, and in turn those wineries will showcase selected works of art through June 24, 2023. It's like an art gallery stretched across the county with vineyards as the backdrop!
To get started on your journey for the senses, download the Wine + Art Trail mobile passport. After you check in at three or more participating wineries, you'll receive a free set of limited-edition Bucks County fine art notecards featuring the works of art created at the wineries, as well as a chance to win one of the outdoor art reproductions. The free passport also includes deals and discounts at the various wineries.
We recommend starting with the three wineries that are closest to the Inn at Bowman's Hill. First up is Crossing Vineyards and Winery, located on an estate built more than 200 years ago. More than a dozen different grape varietals are grown on their 20-acre vineyard. Guided wine tastings include samples of 10 Crossing Vineyards award-winning wines. Plan your visit during one of their special events, including wine and food pairings, wine classes, and holiday celebrations.
Founded in 1966, Buckingham Valley Vineyards and Winery is the oldest vineyard in Bucks County. Today, it's also one of the largest in the state, producing more than 35,000 gallons of wine annually from grapes grown on 40 acres of vineyards. Come for a visit to see the art, then take a tour of the cool wine cellar and sample the wines. In the warmer months, enjoy live music on the weekends.
The historic Rose Bank Winery is located on land originally owned by William Penn and later given to his daughters. This winery is home to a stone manor house built in 1719, a carriage house built in 1720, and the three-story Buckman Barn established in 1835, where tastings of the winery's French-style wines are held on the lower level.
Other wineries on the Wine + Art Trail are: Wycombe Vineyards, Sand Castle Winery, Rushland Ridge Vineyards & Winery, and Bishop Estate Vineyard and Winery.
Sip your way through some of Bucks County's most beautiful scenery, both in real life and on canvas. Each winery has its own unique personality and skillfully crafted wines to satisfy any wine taster's palate. With beautiful historic buildings and acres of bountiful vineyards, Bucks County wineries are truly picture-perfect settings for discovering why wine and art go hand-in-hand.
